Our theory of
In England, there are approximately 800,000 children in foster care at present.
In 2022, foster care placements cost the government over £10 billion. This cost would be acceptable if removing children from their birth-families always had a positive impact on the child's well-being and development. Sadly, this is not the case for everyone.
